Step 1: Register to Consign

Consignors receive 65% of their total sales, minus a NONREFUNDABLE $10 consignor fee, paid up front to reserve your spot.

Persnicketies is a semi-annual boutique consignment sale that accepts only the best upscale clothing brands for women and children from babies to pre-teens.

Minimums

Consignors must consign a minimum of 15 acceptable clothing items, $150 in acceptable items or 2 designer purses.

Great Condition

All items must be clean & in GREAT condition with no stains, rips, or missing buttons.

Clothing Brands Accepted

Children’s accepted items include upscale brands, Polo/Ralph Lauren, Crewcuts, Boden/Mini Boden, North Face, Under Armour, Gap and Gymboree.  In addition we accept custom monogrammed and appliqued clothing (on any brand) or fine handmade clothing.

Unaccepted Items

We DO NOT accept Carter’s, J.Khaki, Children’s Place, Old Navy, Tommy Hilfiger, Little Me, Nursery Rhyme, Starting Out, etc… No bathtubs, bedding, bibs/burpcloths without tags, blankets without tags, breastpumps, decor,  potty seats, etc…

Toys

Toys must have all parts securely attached and be in working condition w/ new batteries. A little elbow grease goes a long way. Do not bring dirty or beat up toys. No stuffed animals!

Other Items

ANY BRAND shoes, books, toys, baby items, baby gear, diaper bags, and furniture.

Spring/Summer Notes

Spring dresses, capris, short sleeves, jeans, sleeveless, shorts, onesies, sleepers, tanks, sundresses, swimwear, beach chairs, beach toys, Easter items, transitional pieces, etc…

Fall/Winter Notes

Long sleeves, jeans, pants, dresses w/sleeves, long alls, sweaters, sleepers, Christmas items, corduroy, velvet, costumes, etc…

Women's Items

We LOVE our women’s clothing section. We accept any BOUTIQUE/TRUNK SHOW clothing brands plus Ann Taylor/Loft, J Crew, and Ralph Lauren/Polo.  We are NOT accepting shoes or maternity clothing at this time.

Designer Bags

We accept Coach, Michael Kors, Vera Bradley, Kate Spade, Louis Vuitton, Brahmin, Dooney Bourke, Tory Burch, MZ Wallace, Chanel, Frye, and more… To consign purses/bags, sign up as a regular consignor and tie your tag onto your bag. We require a minimum of 2 designer purses (or 15 clothing items or $150 in merchandise) to be a consignor. All bags will be looked over prior to the sale. Any knock-offs will be removed. We have tight security on the bags, and no bag will be released until they have been paid for by the purchaser.

We generally suggest pricing your items at 40-75% OFF of the original price depending on condition, style, and brand.

Guidelines for Sets

PLEASE HANG OUTFIT SETS WITH THE SAME SIZE PANTS AND SHIRTS …. NO 4T SHIRTS AND 3T PANTS TOGETHER.

THE BETTER THEY LOOK–THE BETTER THEY SELL!

If you want your items to sell, please be sure your clothes are FRESHLY WASHED AND IRONED! Yes, it’s absolutely worth your time! You will LOVE how much better they sell.

General Tagging Instructions

  • Clothing should be hung with the hook facing the LEFT (like a question mark {?}).
  • Secure the clothing with additional safety pins if needed. Two piece sets should be secured with safety pins. Pants, skirts and bloomers can be hung on the backside with two safety pins attaching them to the top part of the hanger.
  • Please do not put shoes in plastic bags or shoeboxes. Use ribbon/twine to tie them together.
  • Multiple items should be noted in your description so if something comes loose we can find the missing piece.
  • Use Slim, Husky, Runs Small or Runs Large in descriptions when applicable.
  • WOMEN’S CLOTHING should be hung with foam topped hangers when necessary. If you wiggle the hanger and it falls off, it needs a foam cover. Pants/shorts/skirts/strapless should be hung with pant clip hangers. NO SAFETY PINS should be used except to attach tags.

Important Info About Tagging Your Items

  • Once you have printed & attached your tags, please do NOT change ANYTHING in the tagging program or on the actual tags such as price, description, size, etc.
  • The bar code will only give the info that was input into the computer at the time it was printed. If you need to make a change, you must correct it in the online program AND print out a new tag and attach to the item.
  • Please make sure your tags are not smudged or pixelated. The scanner will not read them at checkout if they are not clear.
  • If you must use tape on a tag, please make sure it is clear packing tape and put it on as smoothly as possible.
  • If you have a Mac computer, you may need to shrink your tags if there is a problem.
  • Make tag descriptions thorough. Instead of using “brown shirt”, use “Brown Gap Dog Polo.” This enables us to easily locate items in our system should the tag become separated from the item. We cannot sell untagged items.

Selling

Before you bring your items in, please check the following:

  • Brand is Accepted
  • Overall condition: no fading, pilling, stains, holes, wear, etc…

We only sell top quality items. Any items that do not meet the above criteria will be pulled from the floor. (An excessive amount of such clothes may cause you to be banned from future consigning.)

  • Any items you are DONATING should be marked for 50% off.
  • Zip zippers, button buttons, snap snaps.
  • Try to refrain from using ziploc bags except multiple toy pieces or groups of accessories.
  • Soak stained items overnight and re-wash- most can be soaked in Oxyclean or Biz. (NO stained items will not be accepted)
  • Price competitively. All items must be priced in whole dollar increments. (i.e. $5.00 not $5.50)

Step 4: Drop Off & Pick Up

Drop-Off

In order to ensure a smooth drop-off, please do the following things BEFORE you arrive in the building to drop off your items:

  • Make sure all items are properly tagged according to our tagging guidelines.
  • Sort clothing by gender and size.
  • Sign-up for a drop-off appointment or come during open drop-off times (please be prepared to wait if you choose this option).

Drop-off appointments (click below) are available for your convenience. If you make an appointment, it is very important that you be on time. You are encouraged to sign up closer to the sale dates if you are unsure of your schedule.

Pick-Up

When you arrive at pick-up:

  • Have your consignor number ready to tell worker.
  • Double check to make sure you have all your large items.
  • Check the table containing items that have lost their tags.
  • Any items you wish to donate can be placed on the donate rack.
  • Once unsold items are returned to you, step aside to double check they are all yours.
  • All items must be picked up at our scheduled times.  Any items not picked up will be donated to charity and cannot be retrieved. If you are unable to pick up and do not want items donated, please have someone pick up for you.
  • NO EARLY PICK UP ALLOWED.
