So you want the Persnicketies origin story? It basically sounds like a dating story…

We met in 2010 in childbirth class—Allison bailed early (rude… but also, premature baby) and Ashley showed up to everything… still totally unprepared. Ashley friended Allison on Facebook, Allison called her about a book, and we talked for hours. The rest is history.

By 2012, we were deep in mom life and convinced the Shoals needed a better kind of consignment sale. Allison had the idea, Ashley said “LET’S DO IT,” and here we are (minus one misspelled domain name… we don’t talk about it).

We started in a tiny church building, outgrew it immediately (hello, tent + nightly haul-ins because we’re insane), then moved to Tuscumbia, then Florence, then back to Muscle Shoals—growing way beyond what we ever imagined.

Naturally, we said—why not add a second sale… mid-COVID. In 2021, we launched Tupelo knowing no one—and fell in love with that community too.

We’re so grateful to serve Shoals and Tupelo families—helping recoup $$ for new wardrobes, family trips, and kids’ sports—and we can’t wait to bring the same magic to Birmingham. We truly LOVE what we do!

We are also so thankful to our husbands, friends, and families that help us to make this sale possible! And to all our amazing consignors and shoppers. Thank you for participating and sharing us with all your friends. We couldn’t do this sale without EVERY. SINGLE. ONE. OF. YOU!
